Stage 2 – Log-Book Portal and Site Asset Manager Web Interface Explained

Please note: your portal will fully populate once an approved Maintenance by Global partner has built your Asset Register in SAM and your engineers have subscribed to and used our mobile app to push live updates.

Maintenance management has evolved far beyond paper files, wall-mounted tee-card systems and static on-site logbooks. Our Log-Book Portal centralises everything into a single, secure, cloud-driven environment designed for modern facilities management.

The Log-Book Portal is the browser-based interface to our bespoke Site Asset Manager (SAM) application. SAM constructs and maintains your digital asset registers, drives planned maintenance scheduling, and stores all statutory reports in a structured, standards-led format.

Because the platform is cloud-hosted, asset records and compliance documentation are no longer tied to a single site. Authorised personnel—engineers, caretakers, auditors, facilities managers and board-level users—can access real-time information from any location, at any time.

Core platform features include:

  • Structured documentation: every asset is indexed by premises, system type and physical location, each assigned a unique QR-enabled ID.
  • Real-time operational status: the “Assets by Status” view highlights items requiring immediate attention, inspection or replacement.
  • Complete service history: access every engineer visit, report, certificate and data-plate image from a single source of truth.
  • Proactive maintenance planning: review your monthly schedules and understand exactly what compliance activity is due and when.

Full access is granted once registration and all technical prerequisites are complete.
