Stage 2 – Log-Book Portal and Site Asset Manager Web Interface Explained

Please note: your portal will populate once an approved Maintenance by Global partner has built your Asset Register in SAM and your engineers have subscribed to and used our mobile app to push live updates.

Our maintenance workflow has moved on from paper-based systems—those wall-mounted tee-card panels and loose logbooks are now a thing of the past. Instead, we offer a fully centralised digital solution via our Log-Book Portal.

The Log-Book Portal is a browser-based front end to our bespoke Site Asset Manager (SAM) application. SAM builds and maintains your digital asset registers, schedules planned maintenance and stores all statutory service reports.

Because it’s cloud-hosted, your asset records aren’t confined to a filing cabinet on-site. Once registered, authorised personnel—from engineers and caretakers through to auditors, facilities managers and directors—can access critical compliance data anytime, anywhere.

Key features include:

  • Structured documentation: every asset is logged by premises, system type and location, with a unique ID assigned.
  • Real-time status monitoring: use the “Assets by Status” view to spot items needing immediate repair, inspection or replacement.
  • Comprehensive service history: view every engineer visit, complete with notes and certificates.
  • Maintenance planning: drill into your monthly schedule to see exactly what work is contracted and when it’s due.

Access is granted once registration is complete and the prerequisites are met.
