Policy Statement and Factsheet
Building and energy management systems are present in most of the buildings we maintain. They play a crucial role in providing a comfortable environment for occupants to work and impact energy efficiency. However, the failure of a damper, valve actuator, or sensor can often undermine the control strategy significantly and harm staff well-being.
In simple terms, the purpose of the BEMS maintenance plan is to verify that all components that make up the control system are working as intended.
This publication formalises our business intention to align maintenance procedures and processes with SFG20. Originally launched in 1990, Building Engineering Services Association (formerly known as the HVCA), SFG20 is recognised as the industry standard for building maintenance specification.
Register of assets (technical audit).
Our managed “Log-Book Portal” will document exactly what assets you have by premises, system type and location, including the digital capture of the manufacturer's data plate and the timing of visits. On completion our engineer will assign tasks from the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA) SFG20 library of maintenance schedules. These standards cover most of the equipment types associated with BEMS.
Planned visits and record keeping.
Finally our engineers systematically verify the current condition and update the status of the asset accordingly. This digital document provides evidence of service completed and is retained against the assets service history in the client Logbook Portal.
